Corporate - Start-up Collaboration in the Kalundborg Symbiosis
Algiecel A/S is a Danish Biosloutions company that produce microalgae-based ingredients to help decarbonise supply chains without compromising on nutritional and functional performance in the food, feed and personal care markets. Using captured CO2, Algiecel cultivates microalgae in compact, modular, Artificial Light Photobioreactors (AL-PBRs) that produce phototrophic microalgae ingredients with predictable and stable properties, decoupled from wild harvesting and marine supply volatility. With low land, water and emissions footprints, the technology enables production of rich marine bioactives at industrial scale.
In the EUDP funded project with Novonesis, the aim is to validate our patented PBR at an industrial site. In this session, you will learn about scaling up from pilot to industrial demonstration scale and how to engage successfully in collaborations between start-up and Corporate. Join us for an honest talk about the pro's, con's and perspectives of start-up and Corporate partnerships.
